Chronology
After witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, a psychiatrist becomes increasingly convinced she is being threatened by an uncanny entity behind home plate dead still and smiling while staring into the camera, unmoving despite fans in the audience being understandably concerned, while wearing Smile shirts. Another soon appeared in the background with the crowd during the Today show.. At approximately 31 min in, Rose breaks a glass when her alarm goes off. A few seconds later as she is checking the door she is wearing lace-up shoes.

Based on what happens later at a party later, there are several continuity issues that may not be "mistakes" but may actually be deliberate in order to show "breaks" in Rose Cotter's consciousness/sanity. The Monstrosity: Because your mind is so inviting.. The Paramount opening and closing logos have a curved line in the form of a smile at the base of the mountain. LOTS of jump scares and squeamish scenes as expected
Some original horror and a lot of "been there, done that" which is fun for a horror junkie like me. BUT. Weak conclusion. Seems like it literally just sets up for a cheesy sequel to come down the road.

You'll see what I mean if you were looking for a more meaningful wrap to what could have been a great ending as this story builds and directs the viewer to what could have brought to reason. Not worth a hefty price at the box office. Or wait till it hits one of the millions of streaming services these days. Actors were ok.
