Chronology
A maniac named Art the Clown terrorizes two friends on Halloween and anyone else who gets in his way. David Howard Thornton was the sixth person to audition for Art the Clown after Mike Giannelli quit the role and his acting career. During the audition, he started out miming tasting the blood of his decapitated victim, but then added salt to it to make it taste better. In the shots where Tara is gagged with duct tape, the tape clearly doesn’t touch the bottom of her mouth in some early shots while it’s tight around both of her lips in other shots.

EMT Roman: How can you eat a greasy croissant while cutting up dead bodies? Coroner: Honey, I’ve been doing this for twenty-two years, okay? Once you’ve seen an eight-month-old baby die in a microwave… There is a heavily edited version on YouTube that removes the graphic violence and gore, as well as the nudity.

I’ll tryWritten and performed by Merci. I wasn’t really keen on watching this as I haven’t seen any of the director’s previous films. (Because the killer in this film is a spin-off). I watched it after reading a glowing review by Coventry.
No flickering lights, no shaky camerawork and no fast editing
This film is indeed terrifying in terms of brutality and gore, but what I liked most about it was the atmosphere. Another good aspect is that nothing is shot in the dark and you can easily guess what’s going on. There is a murder in this film that is far more brutal than Sean Bean’s in Black Death. The only thing I wanted to know more about was the backstory of the killer, his motivations and the clarity of the supernatural ending.
